Shipbreaking worker dies after fall in Ctg yard
A worker who was working on shipbreaking died when he fell off the staircase of a ship in the Sonaichori union in Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram the night before. The incident occurred in the SN Corporation Yard at Shitolpur region of the union, according to our Chattogram staff reporter. The dead Liton Pal (28) of Sandwip upazila was killed while trying to climb down the stairs of a vessel, Abdullah Al Sakib Mubarrat who is deputy inspector general for the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments, Chattogram told The Daily Star.
